What is 1p-LSD?
1P-LSD is a lysergamide and is considered within the research community to be a compound closely related to LSD-25 (the original LSD). The “1P” in its name refers to the propionyl group that has been added to the LSD structure. Therefore, 1P-LSD is also known as 1-propionyl-LSD.
That small structural difference is precisely why 1P-LSD is often mentioned in the same breath as LSD-25. The basic structure is very similar, except that 1P-LSD has an additional propionyl group. As a result, 1P-LSD belongs to the same broader family of lysergamides.
1P-LSD first appeared on the market around 2015 and quickly became a household name. In scientific and analytical contexts, 1P-LSD is primarily discussed because of its close relationship to LSD-25 and the question of how this compound compares to LSD chemically and pharmacologically.
